Cane Creek Cycling Components has recalled about 7,800 suspension seatposts. If you think you have an affected post stop using it immediately! The seatpost's cradle, which attaches to the seat, can break, posing the risk of falls and serious injury.
The recalled Thudbuster Suspension Seatposts are black (photo) and silver (not shown) and have a range of serial numbers between 10894 and 18710. The serial number can be found inside the seatpost tube near the bottom. The words, "Cane Creek" and "Thudbuster" are also printed on the seatpost. The seatposts were made in the U.S. and sold between November 2000 and June 2002.
Stop using these seatposts immediately and return them to the company for a free repair. You can contact Cane Creek Cycling Components at (800) 234-2725 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time Monday through Friday for more information.
