Hey guys I found a solution to the problem with the innertube stems being torn...the rims are great, but they have a flaw right where the tube stem goes...the innertube opening needs to be smoothed out or covered by an xtra rubber spoke guard....thats the giant rubber thingy that goes on the inside of the rim...that little opening can have some really sharp edges...I solved the problem with my dremel tool...i just smoothed out the lil opening and put an xtra rubber ring on the rim...its quite an easy fix with or without the dremel tool...GREAT BIKE I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS AFTER THE FIX..

I have had this bike for three seasons now and have never had any problems. I've never had a flat and I ride on pretty rocky terrain most of the time. This bike adjusts every where and that really makes it a great fit. I put about 80 miles a week on it with no probems and only a maintenance tuneup.

i'm a 57 yr old male tired of being overweight and out of shape so i purchased this bike after looking at all the differant brands and models. local dealer showed me the 2.0 on his floor but was drawn to the 3.0 because of the upgrades(i.e.shifters) this bike is great!!! owned a sweet gary fisher mtb about 11 or 12 yrs ago but gave it up because i can no longer take the strain on my back. now i'm back riding everyday again and i could not be happier. this bike was set-up and adjusted perfectly when I purchased it and I have not done anything excepy wipe it down with a damp cloth every couple of days. I love the comfort, the style, the componants--the entire bike is GREAT! no issues at all

I've had two Navigators. A Navigator 300 and my current Navigator 3.0. The 3.0 is a much improved version, more responsive and better geometry for me. I commute daily to work, a minimum of 5 miles per day, rain or shine, winter or summer. The bike has served me well for probably 2000 miles, and is still in good shape. Very reliable. I've switched to a different brand of tires, and like them better. The Bontrager tire (prior model to the current H5) was wide and stable, but tended to pick up small rocks. The other brand doesn't pick up rocks. Design-wise, I wish for a slightly wider gear range. On a slight downhill run, I easily max out the available speed in the highest gear, and on my daily hill climb into my neighborhood, I wish for one slightly lower gear than the bike has. Great commuter bike. I would buy another one when this one wears out.

Ok, I read all of the reviews about the valve shearing and destroying the tube but I bought 2 of these for myself and my wife anyway. We really love them, and I mean that we love them a lot! Here it comes... but, I just changed my second rear tube on the side of the road from a sheared valve stem at the bottom on the side. This was a thorn proof Sunlite tube but that did not matter as it took the valve out and not a puncture. Can someone tell me that there is an answer to this? Is it the tires? They can be changed out. Anyone know the answer? I can't honestly recommend this bike until I know if it will get me home. 35 miles and 2 non puncture tube failures?

I ride this bike every day to my limits as part of my workout. I was afraid that it would have a poor rolling resistance but no, it has a great rolling resistance and while it is not a classic road bike, it is 80% of one and comfortable to ride. So if you are looking for a comfortable ride that still allows you to cruise at decent speeds this bike is the one that you want. I bought one for me and a womans for my wife and we are both very happy with the bike. Buy it!

I have put on 300 miles on this bike since I have got it last spring. I am a very big guy (350 lbs) and it has held up pretty good so far. I have not faced any tire issues like some have, but I have broken 2 things. The first was the crank arm...its made of alumiunm and during a long ride (20 miles) it egged out the square fitting where the steel hub joins it...I now have to carry a allen wrench to tighen it about once a week. The other thing that broke was a plastic seat mount. Granted I am 350 lbs, and it broke in the cold Minnesota winters, but i would like it to have held up better. I commute about 2 miles a day with this bike, in rain, wind, sun, heat, snow, and ice. I fit it with some fender gaurds, and it has done well. I however am going to have to give it some TLC now that its spring, since its all full of salt and sand from the roads.

I've been using this bike for a couple of months, and I've enjoyed it a lot. You don't have to worry about the pavement conditions, just go straight ahead. I would only recommend adding both lights and fenders.

I regularly ride my navigator on light dirt and gravel trails. Since purchasing this bike I've rode about 100 miles and have not experienced any problems with handling or tire wear. The gear shifting is effortless and braking is firm. The bike has a good feel to it when encountering small bumps and uneven surfaces so I credit its suspension parts and design. The only drawback about this bike is that it is heavy even for recreational rides.
