The Penn Cycle and Fitness Expert Maintenance and Repair class will cover how to perform the most complex bicycle repairs. This class will build on our Basic Maintenance class, except students will actually take apart and reassemble all the bearing surfaces of a bicycle. This will include the hubs, bottom bracket (if possibile), and headset. It will also cover the basic principals of true wheels and adjusting the brakes and shifting. During the class students will completely remove the drive-train and clean it in our eco-friendly parts washer. Students are welcome to bring in a clean bike but should know they should already posses a working knowledge of bicycle maintenance. Our classes are held on two consecutive week nights from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Limit 5 per class. Students will get a 10% discount on parts, accessories and tools during the class times.

I can't say enough good things about this class. I learned so much from Jim at the Woodbury store. His knowledge of bicycles is incredible and he is a very patient teacher. This class was tremendously valuable to me. Thanks Jim!
